Morning!

I have just bought this and I'm over the proverbial orbiting mass of rock about having done so, I owned the combo version a few years back and loved it, but it was huge and heavy, even by the quite challenging standards of 80's Mesa gear, and it got to be too much. However, this with my two Powerhouse 2x10s is my dream rig

It does however mean that I have to get rid of one or both of my other big heads, a Mesa Venture bought quite recently form Harry (Hazbeen), and my older US built SVT CL.

Harry's original FS thread is here

The Venture is a huge sounding and visually imposing head, with all the grunt of the Walkabout albeit with greater options around EQ, compression and channels (all footswitchable, included). I have been playing with a VERY loud drummer and rarely have this past 3/10 on the master. It does everything from fat Motown to utter distortion. I love it, but cant afford to keep it and the Buster.

Collection/meet up (Canterbury/South East/London/Home Counties) preferred, but might be able to consider other options. Courier also an option of course.

I thought of you when the Buster came up for sale, Chris... Good move! ☺

The Venture looks like another great piece of Mesa kit as well, so I've no doubt you'll find a new home for it and hopefully that'll be quite soon..

Anyway, for those that don't know, Chris is a great person to deal with - as his long-standing and impeccable Basschat feedback thread on here shows - so deal with/buy with absolute confidence folks!

GLWTS Chris, and all the best for now,

Nik

Bump for a great guy and amp (and yes I am biased).

Thanks Harry, it's a great amp and if it wasn't for the incoming Buster I'd hang on to it, but there's only so many Mesa amps one man can own (so my other half tells me anyway) :)

Get it, must admit I was tempted by the Buster myself. The BB isn’t going anywhere in any case :)
