OK, what we have here is an Avon P-bass, model number 3428, from the mid 1970's. Made in Japan, with what looks like a 3 piece ash body and maple neck.
As far as I know it's all original, with the exception of the knobs which are recent due to the originals having gone walkabout for some reason. Plays and sounds great, strung with 45-100 D'Addarios. Action is medium / low. Only thing it could do with are two machine head bushings - the tuners all work fine though. Weight wise it's on the lighter side - my rather primitive scales say around 7.5 to 8 lbs, and it does feel like it. For a 40+ year old bass it's in pretty good condition - some marks etc but nothing horrible. PM me for more pics if you're interested. All in all a great Japanese P-bass for the price of a s/h Squier.
Cash on collection greatly preferred - I'm in East Yorkshire 10 miles west of Hull. Possible help with delivery / meet up, depending on where and when of course. I do travel around a bit, so you never know! Postage / courier is an option, but would probably need to involve a hard case at an additional cost.
Any questions please ask, cheers.
For sale is my 1962** Hofner/Selmer 182/Professional solid body bass w/ original Diamond Logo Pickups.
The bass is not all original but still has a lot of original features. A previous owner has refinished the body in white and fitted a crescent-shaped rest to the body. Other than that, the hardware, pickups, controls etc all seem to be the ones originally bestowed upon it. Volume and tone pots are generally functional but a bit loose and noisy. I suspect it's nothing a soldering iron and a touch of patience can't fix. Frets all appear to be in good condition and the bass is currently strung with light round-wound strings.
The bass plays really nicely and has tonnes of vintage character!
Cash on collection only from South-East London. Can also include the basic gig bag sold to me with the bass. Offers considered.
** According the Hofner list of serial numbers, this particular bass is actually dated around 1962 (http://www.hofner.com/media/wysiwyg//Serial_Numbers/selmer_numbers.pdf)
A few pedals for sale as I'm switching things up a bit... the darkglass comes with a box, the other two don't I'm afraid. Prices include postage to UK mainland.

Hi, I was playing a gig at a venue that has a shop built onto it and i came across this old Carlsbro bass head.
I was very tempted to buy it just to see what it was like, they wanted £60 for the bass head and £50 for the slave.
Can anyone give me some information on this? is it a good price or will it be a waste of money?
Never used Carlsbro before, it was the vintage look that drew me to it.
HH V-S Bassamp for sale. 100 watts into 4 ohms.
This is probably over 40 years old! It powers up and plays fine, but can sometimes be slightly intermittent so could do with a good service I think. May be just needing the pots cleaned etc, but selling it as 'spares and repairs' so as not to be misleading. Overall it's in good condition for it's age, and the backlit front panel works fine and is not cracked, unlike many you see advertised.
Amp is in East Yorkshire, west of Hull. Collection preferred but meet up or delivery possible. Am guessing postage would be around £12, but can get an accurate quote if you're interested Also a few more pics available if you want to PM me. Cheers.
