Toying with the idea of going back to a 1 x 15 cab and I see that there are examples of the above models currently available in the market.

Completely green when it comes to these models. Any pointers, pros/cons between the two would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The NV115 is a fine cab but it needs a powerful current amp to work at its best. I can't explain exactly why this is (maybe the closed cab design and relatively low sensitivity) but it doesn't seem to particularly suit the small modern class D 500w heads.

Great with a chunky Ampeg with some power amp valves kicking out the watts :)

It needs a bit of bedding in as well. Definitely sounds better once it's had some decent use at a reasonable volume. One of those rare cabs that is almost better to buy used rather than new.

The NV115 works brilliantly with the Darkglass M900. Like Molan says, it needs power and you'll find yourself turning up higher than you may expect to, but the Darkglass is more than enough to power it as a 900w Class D. Very good sound, sealed so no boomy lows, but no lack of lows either. Some reports say B string suffers if your a five player, that has not been my experience! Very musical mid range drive with no harshness of a tweeter. I love it.

No experience with the Vanderkley, had a 112MNT and it was an excellent speaker, if lacking in character a little.

Thanks for that. I'll be using Trace heads so I'm guessing they'd have the required oomph. My only concern with the Berg is with it being 8 ohm, would it be suitable as a 'one cab' solution. I'd guess they're pretty efficient though.
