I have been playing my 4 string for last couple of months so there are a few clangers but am hoping to gig with it saturday night but we will see! I can't get over how good condition it is in considering it is about 4 years old and was Jo's main bass which he gigged and used a lot. He really has looked after it well. Yea tomorrow will be good. fingerz Posted October 9, 2008 Author Share Posted October 9, 2008 It shouldn't take long to get used to 5 strings again on that bass birdy. You probably just need to do that first gig with your head down to feel comfortable on it again... It does my head in swapping between 4 and 5 string. Its got such a fast neck and the string spacing is quite tight at the nut so it doesn't take a massive adjustment in technique. I remember some twat nearly damaged it once, he was an extra on a tv set. I was well pissed off, wanted to fill him in! Lol, don't you just hate twats who don't get the value of your gear!
