ritch
I've ummed and ahhed about this bass for a while now, but think I've come to the conclusion it's just not 'me'. A bit of back story - I bought this on here a while back very cheaply. I don't want to make a monetary profit out of it, which is why it's not going on Ebay/Gumtree - I'd rather someone else on here got to enjoy it. But I would like to trade it for something closer to what it's worth. It's a lovely bass to play, and you can feel just how it resonates by playing it without plugging in. Frets are fairly low but it's plays perfectly and fast because of it - they don't have grooves in them, they've just been filed down over the years. It's got signs of use, wear down the back of the neck, dents and things on the body, and some rust on the neck plate, but it's a 40 year old instrument that's been played! For trades, I'd be very interested in: - 70s Fender Mustangs. - 70s Fender Precisions. - Ridiculously priced pedals like Deep Impacts or Ezekiels. - Aguilar DB750. - Vintage synths - Otherwise, what have you got? I'm not interested in anything with more than 4 strings. It doesn't have a case with it, so we'd have to arrange a meet or collection. I'm in Stroud, Gloucestershire and don't mind a little drive. ritch
Still up for grabs. Did have a deal going, but seems to have gone quiet. Huge sorry to anyone who's offered me anything so far - nothing's inspired me yet. I didn't realise how bad it feels to turn everybody's offers down! I'll try to add some extra trade ideas. A nice old Mustang would clinch it though. Rich
ritch
Sorry to everybody who kindly offered me their hard earned bass related belongings over the past week or so, but I traded my Grabber last night for a 1971 Mustang Bass in white, which tommorichards kindly sourced/collected for me. Hope you enjoy the Grabber and it gets more use than I would have given it!
