For on my pedal board.

I have some solo gigs coming up, but also for recording.

It needs to have an input from my pedals, and I use a lot of pre-recorded messed around with field recordings, so it also needs to take an input from my macbook.

:)

Do a search?

Otherwise, Sansamp/MXR/DHA/Darkglass/Aguilar.

Yep, looked at those. It needs to have 2 inputs, one for my macbook.

I'm looking at one of these now - http://www.radialeng.com/r2011/proav.php

There are some new cheaper Radials as well as the JDI - the passive Stage Bug looks like a good cost effective one and is pretty compact. The simple passive Pro DI is great ( I recently saw a lot of them at a very high end recording studio).

Edit - it may be easier to use two small passive boxes, and send two lines, rather than trying to get two inputs to balance front of house.

There is a stage bug that has a mini Jack built in especially for laptops actually!

Thanks guys, they look great.

Would there be any benefit to using 2 separate things ?

:)

Possibly - very few DI's have two inputs, yet alone any means of adjusting levels. It might be simpler for you to run two signals out of two DI's and balance them up elsewhere. Also, your Engineer may be happier with two separate feeds...or he might be a grumpy sod who thinks you're just making his life more complicated...
