The spraying of the body and headstock were passed on to a guy who specialises in spraying custom motorcycle helmets.
I've had no update photos to post as I haven't been through to see Chris for a while. Plus other personal expenses meant I has to delay the build for a bit.
I'll get some pics for everyone soon as I'll be through to see Chris again in a couple of weeks' time.

Great fit on the hand cut pickguard. Incidentally, tge side dot markers are "glow in the dark" Luminlay dots.

And here's a really cool thing which most people would never be aware of. Each screw is actually a dome headed bolt fitted into a brass insert - no stripped threads fir the lifetime of the instrument!

Wow, that is very, very lovely. Excellent work Kevin (and Chris...)

I had forgotten that Chris uses the threaded inserts - so simple, yet it makes things so much easier, especially on a working bass. He installed them on the rear cover of the P-Lyte as the threads had stripped after 20+ years of changing batteries. I must check if he's done the same on the pickguard of my jazz...
