Shockwave
Evening Gents. Looking at a power supply for the following pedals. Pedal AC/DC Voltage MA Korg Pitch Black DC 9 35 Mooer Bass sweeper DC 9 7 Digitech Bass Whammy Reissue DC 9 265 (Probably a minimum) Idiotbox Bass Blower DC 9 10 Tech 21 VT Bass Deluxe DC 9 100 Boss BF2 DC 9 18 Boss CE5 DC 9 22 Joyo Digital Delay DC 9 34 Budda Chakra DC 9 12 Total MA is 503. I am having a hard time finding a power supply to power all these pedals at once. I was looking at the Harley Benton one which can supply 8x9V at 500 MA and 1x12V at 500MA. But none of my pedals are 12Volt. Will I be able to power any of these pedals safely with 12Volts? http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_powerplant.htm Otherwise, What other power supplies out there can supply the juice I need for 9 9V pedals. Cheers! Edited May 9, 2015 by Shockwave
elephantgrey
Strangely the Jr version of that supply is isolated, but that one isnt (isolated outputs help reduce noise). looks like the cheapest option thats isolated is this one, but not much room for expansion. The gigrig power system is the best power supply. Its the one i use. It has 5A(5000mA), and can power most pedals with adapters. If you dont care that much about isolated outputs, then the one-spot will do. JimBobTTD
I have a Johnny Shredfreak that was mighty fine...a quick Google has not come up with a place that sells them, though. I recall it having enormous MA output that was enough to power my whole pedalboard and then some. I bought it a good few years ago (2009? 2010? earlier, even?) and it is still going strong. fretmeister
Gigrig Power Generator, distributor and isolator. The whammy needs a load of current compared to the rest. http://www.thegigrig.com/acatalog/Power.html Expensive but awesome. I have a big board with about 15 pedals, some with big current needs, including a whammy, and it's never missed a beat.
