floFC Posted April 10, 2015 Share Posted April 10, 2015 I was at Wunjo yesterday and they have a brand new Sandberg Marlowe DK. I am not into relic'ing at all, but I have to say it was really well done on this particular bass and the "ageing" looked pretty natural, except... the pick guard is brand new (and may even have had protective plastic on it). Why is that? Is the pick guard the last taboo that cannot be broken (or grazed/burnt/hacksawed)? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

fretmeister Posted April 11, 2015 Share Posted April 11, 2015 All sandberg relics have 3 level options. Soft Hardcore Masterpiece. Soft doesn't have any neck or guard relicing. Hardcore has guard and headstock and some neck colouring. Masterpiece does the entire neck in great detail - that's why Masterpiece costs loads more.
