I've got the 12 Ohm one and, I'm just about to order a 4 Ohm one.
Are you planning to run both together? That would give a total load of 3 ohms, and the RH750 is only meant to run at a minimum of 4 ohms... Just so you know! :)

Again........ the RH750 can run at 2.67 ohms. There is no magic. That's how it powers 3 8 ohm cabs.

Go to page 7 the Min. Load is 2.66R

There will be quiet a an inbalance across the cabs tho... so if running loud,
the lower impredence cab will get the most power into and putting anything like
400w into a 210 would make me nervous.
Of course, it will be hard to gauge how much power is actually put out anyway
but I'd be wary of the same power cabs being run at different impedences..?
It's not rocket science, of course, but..??
I run a 4 and 8 ohm config but the 4 ohms cab is 50% more capable power-wise
and in practice, this works ok but potentially I could be running 800w or more...
depending how oblivious and stupid I was about it..???

Maybe - but I've just bought a RH750 and the manual states very clearly that it will only run three TC cabs. If using any other manufacturer's cabinets the minimum load is 4 ohms.

TC quote: "You can connect up to three TC Electronic RS cabinets or any other two 8 Ohm cabinets of another brand to the amplifier. (minimum load: 4 Ohm)"

I'm disappointed in TC, as that statement from p6 of the RH750 User Manual is a lie.

The appendix I linked to in my previous post is the "clarification" TC put out a couple of years ago after they were challenged by most of Talkbass on the discrepancy between the TC watts rating vs the real RMS watts being generated by the power unit. They also included "clarification" of the 3 of our cabs but only 2 of other companies cabs statement by giving the minimum ohms of each of their amps. Read the link. 2.66R means 2.67 (rounded up) ohms.

I used to run 3 8 Ohm Bergantino cabs at high volume and the amp was fine.

As I say TC are deliberately posting incorrect information, I guess in an attempt to sell more of their cabs. Shame on them.

I would say that the audio demo wasn't massively helpful in demonstrating a functional tone, given the lack of midrange instruments in the recording. It seemed to me to be the sort of tone that would very quickly disappear in a typical mix, but it's hard to say conclusively without the evidence. Not massively keen on the tone of the drive too (coming from the TC RH750 I'm guessing). A bit "scratchy" for my tastes.
