I just fitted a set of active EMG J's, sounds great . . . nails the Alex Al Jazz tone. No knobs on the vol / tone just now as the originals [/font][/color][font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif][color=#282828]don't fit on the EMG's. Will put the original wiring etc in with the bass.[/color][/font] [color=#282828][font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif]Comes with both sets of pickups, covers and a fender gig bag. [s]SOLD[/s]. I already have a Japanese 75RI... but mine has the 60s spacing and I remember liking the 70s spacing when I tried one, a while ago... yours is prettier too So, I don't need it, need it... but... I'm getting ideas. I don't like the black blocks/binding (mine is white pearl blocks and cream binding), if it had no binding (or cream binding), I could not have resisted till now... But it's not a deal breaker... Hmmm... Someone please buy this before I do something silly. EMGs... those are active pickups, right? Where is the battery? Inside the control cavity?
