1. SOLD. Price drop...£449. Sorry, not looking for trades with this one. https://www.basscentre.com/british-bass-masters/bruce-thomas-profile.html Here's what they say... BODY: Lightweight basswood custom body profile FINISH: Gloss Salmon Pink, with natural headstock and tortoise-shell pickguard NECK: Satin finish custom profile neck with 20 fret Maccasar ebony fingerboard PICKUPS: Passive, custom wound, vintage style pickups with exposed pole pieces BRIDGE: Vintage "Retro Roller"® bridge with knurled saddles for string width adjustment HARDWARE: Original '60s style chromed brass flat-top control knobs / Bass "C" engraved 4-bolt chrome neck plate STRINGS: Bass Centre Elites EXTRAS: Premium quality Bass Centre padded gig bag included Purchased just over a year ago. It's had only very limited - smoke-free - home use. The covers were fitted by KGB Music on the Wirral. Currently strung with a set of Bass Centre Detroit Flats. I'd like to give you an idea of the weight but I don't have access to scales (it's no heavyweight though and I've had much weightier P's). It's only up for sale because I have to cover ongoing garage bills for my ancient Yammy XV750. In the past I've not had an issue with using insured courier delivery, but I don't have an appropriate carton/packing materials so it could do with being collected in person from Higher Bebington, Wirral. * now have suitable packing material so courier delivery is a possibility. Cheers, peeps.
  2. Not looking for trades, peeps. First up, apologies for the (lack of) image quality...naff phone/naff photographer. Purchased on a whim just over a year ago. The thing is, the poor blighter never really stood a chance, as my Bass Centre Bruce Thomas Profile is my go-to so, apart from VERY limited home use, it's barely seen the light of day. As you can tell, it still has on the see-through plasticky bits...! Anyway, here's the official blah, blah, blah.... BODY BODY MATERIAL: Alder BODY FINISH: Gloss Polyester BODY SHAPE: Precision Bass NECK NECK MATERIAL Maple NECK FINISH: Satin Urethane Finish on Back, Gloss Urethane Finish on Front NECK SHAPE: Modern "C" SCALE LENGTH: 34" (864 mm) FINGERBOARD MATERIAL: Maple FINGERBOARD RADIUS: 9.5" (241 mm) NUMBER OF FRETS: 20 FRET SIZE: Medium Jumbo NUT MATERIAL: Synthetic Bone NUT WIDTH: 1.625" (41.3 mm) POSITION INLAYS: Black Dots TRUSS ROD: Standard TRUSS ROD NUT: 3/16" Hex Adjustment ELECTRONICS MIDDLE PICKUP Player Series Alnico 5 Split Single-Coil Precision Bass CONTROLS: Master Volume, Master Tone SWITCHING: None CONFIGURATION: Split Single-Coil HARDWARE BRIDGE 4-Saddle Standard HARDWARE FINISH: Nickel/Chrome TUNING MACHINES: Standard Open-Gear PICKGUARD: 3-Ply Parchment CONTROL KNOBS: Knurled Flat-Top NECK PLATE: 4-Bolt "F" Stamped MISCELLANEOUS STRINGS Fender USA, NPS, (Gauges .045 - .105) Now, I wouldn't be particularly arsed about hanging onto it only pennies are being saved to put toward a 1st generation Yamaha V-Max (I've had one before but I didn't learn my lesson) plus it deserves to be played, innit...? Years ago I used to buy and sell on here quite a bit and would agree to courier-insured delivery but cardboard cartons are a thing of the past in the Scott S household so it'd have to be collected I'm afraid. It's currently sleeping in a cheapo dust-dodging gig bag that has only a suggestion of padding which would make courier "care" even more of a worry. £579 ono. Cheers. Oh, I've not got any scales but, rest assured, it's exactly the same weight as a Fender Ltd Edition Player Precision Electron Green...ahem...sorry.
  3. Kevin bought my Squier VM Jazz 5-er. It was a totally smooth and hassle-free deal and I wouldn't hesitate to do business with him again in the future

I've been blown away at just how good these instruments are; they're not just good for the price they're just good full stop...! There's no way that I'd be looking to move it on only I'm still yet to pay off the outstanding balance on a holiday to Malta and, as the pennies are tight atm, every little helps. The instrument hasn't ventured outside the house since it was bought and it's been kipping in a cheap gig bag which is good for dodging the dust but not much else. It can be picked up from the Wirral but I'd be happy to courier at the buyer's expense. I have a cardboard carton into which it would fit and it'd be securely packed prior to being delivered. Sorry for the crap pics but they're the best that I could do Cheers, Scott.
  5.
I wish this was available when I was learning it. Come to think of it, I wish the internet had been.
Tell me about it, mate...stylus up, stylus down, ad infinitum..
  6. Yeah, he's an annoying little stoat, the sound is crap and so is the camera angle, but he gets close to it round about the 5.55 min mark... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCc-qsxdTe4

  11.
Right, enough, it has to be said. In the various places you have this advertised, your first paragraph states it's a P body with a J neck. It's not, it's a J body with a P neck. And if these things had a tone control, it would be mine GLWTS
Doh...! My bad...? My old Latin teacher always said..."Sanders, if you copy off someone else's work then you're cheating only yourself"...( “futue te ipsi”, Mr Morris)

    MB1 Feedback

Just completed a trade & cash deal with Martin. He took the time to travel from Manchester to Liverpool to conduct the transaction which went without a hitch. It was great to spend some time chatting about all things bass before we went our separate ways via good, old BR. Martin's a top fella and basschatter, and his feedback history stands on its own merit. Nice one, take it easy, bud
