SOLD German flatback 4/4 double bass. I am selling this bass on behalf of a school. I believe it was donated to the school by the Royal Military Band. It appears to have had little use by the school, probably as they had no pupils big enough to play it. As a result it is in surprisingly good condition for a school instrument. It has a laminated back but I think that the front is carved.
At some point, the neck has been damaged but it looks to have had a robust repair (please see photos). I don't know how old the strings are or have any information about when it last had the set-up checked.
We are in the Ipswich area of Suffolk.
