Raggy Posted June 23, 2008 Share Posted June 23, 2008 I am looking to try and get that sound Bedders gets. That 'bark' sounds great. I know a lot is in the fingers/player and i have the P bass sorted. Have noticed recently he uses SVT's and 8x10's. What you're hearing on the record is prob a mix of DI and effects anyway, so don't get too hung up on trying to nail it. Try letting your preamp run at just going into distortion, so as to give your speakers a little bark but you can back off with your volume on the amp. Yeah, Bedders is a great bass player, very underated and in one of Englands most successful bands. Can't see why your VBA and 4x12 won't tear it up with a P bass, wow, that will be a joy to behold.
