Cherished and cuddled by the present and previous owners and not gigged by either of us. Set up and adjusted. Currently shod with Overwater nickel light strings. Demountable Willis ramps. 34 inch scale. lownote Posted October 22, 2013 Author Share Posted October 22, 2013 (edited) The ramp fills the gap between the two pickups and the neck pickup and the neck. If you're good enough to use them they're apparently to stop your fingers digging in too much if you play in a certain style. For me they offer a thumb rest if I'm playing the B string 'off pickup'. Technically they should be curved to match the curve of the fingerboard. Mine are flat but then the fingerboard is a flat curve anyway.
