Anyone managed to knock them down a little with the price? Bristol, Birmingham, Leicester, Stockton, Sheffield & Glasgow "Reverb" turn out to be part of Arbiter, who distribute Fender (amongst others) in the UK. Makes sense if Sound Control owed you large amounts of money you might as well take over the stock and try to sell it yourself !! Best bet is to get along to one of the new six Reverb stores, try out a Spector ReBop and take advantage of their special introductory 20% off! Spector ReBops have a great and well deserved reputation for being lightweight, well made, powerful and punchy! Apparently it had been ordered in for someone else who had paid the deposit but then never turned up to buy it when it arrived, so it went on general sale. When I bought it it was meant to be on layaway until the next day when someone was coming in to buy it, but because he hadn't paid a deposit they let me buy it instead (and didn't even blink when I started haggling)! Shame to see Reverb aren't reopening the Newcastle or Preston SC stores, means it will be hard to get my hands on more Spectors, saying as Guitar Guitar are utter cack and don't have any! It's a data-capture excercise, preceeding a full-blown site. Well it can't be any worse than the old SC website, which was my least favourite site to use out of all the music gear e-tailers.
