Im going to see bruce springsteen in belfast on sat 20th july and his bassist plays a shorty i believe. Bass direct just got two gorgeous shortys in. Whats the craic with them? Tone? Playability? I can want all i like. I cant afford it and unless gary tallent drops his off the stage next week drooling on bass direct is as close as im getting. Dingus Posted July 11, 2013 Share Posted July 11, 2013 I bet if I had one of these it would get more use than any of my other basses . Great for playing on the sofa in front of the T.V. It sounds like a lot of money to spend on a bass to do that , but I spent loads on a big T.V and Sky every month and there is mostly absolute crap on it , so at least the Spector would be a good bass and I could drown out the sound of annoying Tory bastards on Question Time with a few .slap licks when the mood took me . That spector section of bassdirect is full of finance munching gems. Especially the buckeye burl coda basses. Want dont always equal need though and thats why i dont own one . . . . . Yet.
