Happy Jack
How could I have forgotten about this guy? My favourite quote: My personal view on Punk rock is that it's disgusting, degrading, ghastly, sleazy, prurient, voyeuristic and nauseating. I think most of these groups would be vastly improved by sudden death. If only we'd listened ...
BetaFunk
That is a great quote I hadn't forgotten him and found him much more amusing than the Pistols. He was good value for a quote or two. Edited February 1, 2013 by BetaFunk

BetaFunk
These BBP type of moral guardians were always on the TV at the time. Just like those before them moaning about 'long haired lay-a-bout's' a few years before and 'those horrible beat group chappies' before that and Beatniks and Teddy Boys long before them. I'm sure that these establishment types were paraded on the six o clock news and various debates simply for our amusement and great entertainment it was too. skankdelvar
Prurient? Nauseating? I remember the one where they did a gig at a BDSM brothel and David played the whole show in a sling. Happy Days crossover ep, IIRC. Beady-eyed Bernard at left.
BetaFunk
After Teddy Boys, Mods, Rockers, Hippies, Skinheads and Punks. Who's going to outrage our moral guardians next? I wonder if any of these even ended up as model citizens............. http://youtu.be/W3WfXA9JL9w
Roger2611
I am sure I read in a punk book that he died suddenly shortly after that quote, now that irony for you, it was quotes like that that got me into punk
