Double Bass bag

Hi I'm new to BC

Having just upgraded my double bass to a 3/4 german flat back I am now in the market for a new bass bag.

I am considering one of these...

My budget is up to £200 so I can't go in to Soundwear territory unfortunately.

Just wondered what other people are using and their thoughts?

I've also been using the Christopher bag (PV502?) from Thomann for the past year, 2-3 gigs a week with no problems. Very happy with it. They're £160 at the moment - well within your £200 budget.

I was just about to ask the same question, all the straps managed to break on my way back from my orchestra rehearsal, luckily the bass was ok. Not to hijack the thread but is there a similarly priced bag but also with wheels?

This Tom&Will has wheels, offers good protection and lots of handles that come handy (pun intended) to move the bass around in tight spaces. I have an old one with a broken zipper (after five years of use) but according to their website, the newer ones come with higher quality YKK zippers.

Hi!

A very goog bag: http://www.gedo-musi...?id_product=168 - I use them myself, other colours available.

Maybe even a little better - you can remove the shoulder straps: http://www.kontrabas...schen/index.php - prize is 179,-- €.

I emailed thomann about that one an it doesn't come with wheels, they just haven't changed the picture. Anyone have experience with this case.

That's the Traveller model. The one I posted is the Superior. Maybe that's why one has wheels and the other one doesn't.
