Hi All,
I'm selling my black Fender USA Standard Precision with maple neck and board.

It is (to the best of my knowledge) a 2001 model. I bought it, brand new from Sound Control in Bristol and since then it's had only light use - probably been gigged a maximum of 10 times and has spent most of its life hanging on the wall. Consequently, it's in great condition - it has a small mark on the bottom near where the jack socket is and a small chip on the headstock. The scratchplate has yellowed in the sun from the original white to a much nicer cream. All the electronics work faultlessly and she sounds and plays great.

As you can see in the photos, I've replaced the factory standard straplocks with Jim Dunlop ones and added a pick holder on the top edge of the headstock although this could easily be removed if you wanted (it's attached by sticky backed velcro). I'm including the original Fender hard case in the sale along with the Fender strap, hex key, polishing cloth and manuals that came with the bass.

I'm asking £700 with postage extra. I'm based in Rochester, Kent and I'm happy for a prospective buyer to pick up instead.

If you've any questions then please ask.

Really no interest in this?

I've added some more pics to replace the original fuzzy ones.

The late 90s and early Noughties USA Precisions are, in my opinion, the very best examples.

If you're after a Precision ladies and gentlemen, this is a very, very good place to look.

Change the guard to three ply black and your sitting in the middle of the top table of bass playing.

Agree, Fender upped their game in the late 90s, think this was after yet another buy-out, but for whatever the reason, they knocked out some great basses in this period.

Come on guys, £700 for a great bass and hard case. PM with a sensible offer (sorry, no trades) - I might be in a good mood :-)

I put a couple of bits on eBay this evening - this isn't one of them :-)

It's a great instrument, I've been playing it this instrument. It deserves to be played regularly - someone give it a new home where it'll get what it deserves!
