Valhalalf Posted November 21, 2012 Share Posted November 21, 2012 Well, after months of searching I finally found the Fender Mexican Jazz V in Midnight Wine I was looking for. I came so very close to buying the same bass in sunburst but at the last minute this beauty turned up on Gumtree so I got up at 6am and drove to Stoke this morning to pick it up. Apparently the guy had bought it over a year ago to learn but only took it out of it's case half a dozen times. Apart from two very minor dinks on the back it is in mint condition and still has the plastic cover on the pickguard. It also came with a Gator hardcase, spare set of strings, unused Levy's strap and a Peavey mirco bass amp. The action needs a lot of love and it seriously needs a re-string but other than that it's awesome. And how much did I pay for all of that? Just £300, well under my budget so it's off to the pro for a setup and MOT. Now i just need to decide whether to go with a matt black pickguard or a white pearloid one?
