Valves Posted August 9, 2012 Share Posted August 9, 2012 Hi, New to the forum, Based in Manchester, currently auditioning/looking for new band. Currently have a nice custom bass. Zebrano and Paduke through neck with swap ash body, hand made pups, Alnico magnets and rosewood covers. Problem is average amplification. Hartke HA 2500 head with Laney 4 x 10 cab. Careful with switching drivers, sometimes the cab and drivers won't have the best match, especially if you don't check the tuning. I like a challenge though, Iv'e built my own hi fi speakers with good results using eminence b102 10 inch drivers. Are the barefaced cabs any good for rockier stuff?
