RhythmJunky Posted Wednesday at 09:26 Posted Wednesday at 09:26 Nice. I still have a very early Kingston 5 string which I took the fugly pickguard off 5 minutes after getting it home from the shop. Ive always drooled over a 535, which I know I'll never buy as I'll never be good enough to deserve it. I have seriously contemplated the AG model though and may well take the plunge one day. 1 Quote

If you find one you love at a price you can afford, just buy it. If the idea you're not good enough so you shouldn't buy it was based in reality, only a handful of real high performance cars would have ever been sold. If I won the Powerball, I'd get another Alembic S2, this time a custom 6. 2 Quote

MTD Kingston Andrew Gouche AG5. Here it is in the wild: It plays very nicely, I'm impressed. The neck and fretboard are real standout features - probably the best of any 5 string I've owned, good feel and low action. Only thing I might change is I think some smoked nickel knobs would go well on it. ....and I realise that 4.1kg for a 5 string is relatively lightweight, but as it is all relative and I've owned a 3.4kg Ibanez EHB this now feels a bit heavy. I might get used to it, but once you've gone superlight it's difficult to go back! Gorgeous! Id love one of these, was this Steff's? 1 Quote
