deanovw Posted January 2, 2012 Share Posted January 2, 2012 (edited) Hi, I am selling these Bare Knuckle 60 PE Jazz Bass pickups This from the Bare Knuckle website: Using the same vintage correct fibre board flat work and Alnico V magnets as the [i]'60 HF J Bass set[/i], both coils of the [b]'60 PE J Bass set [/b]are hand-wound with 42AWG plain enamel wire. Accurate to late 1960 J Bass coils, the plain enamel wire produces a tighter coil with slightly more output and a more aggressive tone. The bottom-end is extremely defined with fast response to playing dynamics; mids are punchy and solid while the highs are clear with vowel-like reproduction. Both coils blended together allow for full hum-cancelling as the neck coil is RWRP and hookup is vintage correct black and white cloth 'push back ' to complete the vibe.
