Back up for sale!

Bear with me on this one all (I'm still hesitant to let this beauty go, in my mind this is a lifetime keeper). I'm in a bit of a pickle financially and despite my best efforts to remedy things, drastic times (might) call for drastic measure....so, potentially up for sale (depending on interest) is my adored Performance Guitars Louis Johnson 'Dragon' Bass. http://www.performan...om&id=148&cat=8

Simply the most sublime instrument I've ever had the pleasure of playing, let alone owning. Sounds amazing, plays like butter and looks that kill.

Specs:

Model: Dragon Bass
Body: Alder
Neck & Finger Board: Hard Maple / Rosewood
Frets: Medium Stainless, 21F
Scale: 34"
Nut Width Size: 1-3/4"

Pickups: Bartolini MMC in Bridge position. Bartolini Jazz in Neck position.
Pre-amp: East U-Retro Deluxe
Control: Master Volume
-Treble boost / cut
-Bass boost / cut
-Mid boost / cut (and variable mid sweep)
-Ultra High boost / cut (pull / push)
-Passive tone cut & passive bypass (push/pull)
Hardware: Gold
Finish: Tobacco sunburst satin finish
Bridge: Badass II
Additional Info: Designed by Louis Johnson, Face Jack, custom built (one of a kind), gold hardware throughout, reverse headstock.

Weighs in at around 9lbs (if I recall - I don't have any scales to confirm that on). In near mint condition aside from one small ding on the front bottom corner (damn guitarist!) and some wear to the gold finish on the tuning pins.

I bought this from Barrie (Molan) just over a year ago and aside from the a fore mentioned wear, it's in exactly the same state. Everything else is in top condition. Comes complete with hardcase and certificate of authenticity from Kenny Sugai.

I'd like to get just shy of what I paid for it but as I'm in urgent need of money, I'd consider taking a bit less; let's start at £1700 and work from there. I would also consider a trade for a lesser bass (such as a Sandberg JM4 or the like) with cash my way to make up the difference.

I'm happy to ship anywhere at buyers expense, but please ask for a quote first. I'll also happily deliver within a few hundred miles of Tunbridge Wells in Kent, if the buyer can cover my fuel costs.

I've included the original pics from Molan's post and here's a few more 'arty' pics of the dragon: https://docs.google....azZXeElENXFlWkE

This really is a stunning bass with sublime build quality and feel. I only sold it because I prefer a really slim neck these days.

As stated above, it's really versatile as well, built to Fianso's original spec I think - excellent choices Fi :)
