I met him at the O2 in Oxford a few years back. His Loaded band were supporting Black Stone Cherry. He was just the most genuine "somebody" I've ever met and he was really happy to chat. He spent a good 15mins with me and my drummer just chatting about random music stuff. I was a massive gnr fan when I was a teenager and he will always be one of my favourite bass players. More so now cos I can respect him as a nice guy.

Just watched the Hardtalk interview on iPlayer. Sarah Montague went easy on him once she had raised a couple of thorny questions (lyrical content for one) but all in all rather good. He certainly comes over as a genuinely normal bloke on the TV too, kinda what you see is what you get, makes a change for the R&R industry. My favourite line was;

Q: Is a G&R reunion possible?
A: AnythIng is possible, my 14 year old daughter might think her old man is cool next week.

Or words to that effect. If she doesn't think Duff is cool already, what chance does anyone else have? :)
