if its the bolt on neck, unless you desperately keen to get your hands on one then i personally would hold out to try and find the one piece thru neck - youll be glad you waited! :)

Hmmm an early 90's 6P from Korea? Seems odd to my knowledge. I love my 6P and I'm fairly sure it's Japanese made and thought they all were.

Mine's a 2EQ. I'd like to know more about these basses although I've owned 5 TRBs over the years including my 1st 'real' bass a new TRB4 Mk1 bought in 1995.

TRB6p's are not made in taiwan.. does it say "made in taiwan on the bass..?? i dont know of any early 6p thats made in that country.

be very aware that far eastern bass copies are very close to the original... i saw a Jens Ritter bass from China, and i sh*t you not, from the detailed pic, i could not tell the difference, and im a nerd when it comes to basses..

i know my TRB's and im pretty sure your bass may be wrong un

got any pics?

If it's labelled as being made in that Taiwanese factory I'd be interested to know where the label is or how you got this information? TRB1006's and TRB1005's were made there I believe but they are a long way from a TRB6 and even further remote from a 6P.

I'd really like a 34" scale TRB5, may place an ad in the wanted section hmmm......

TRB1000 series are made in Korea. not Taiwan.. the TRB P's are very high end Yamahas with a P pickup and a jazz pup, with a piezo.. im such a geek... :)

I'm no geek but it's the TRB5P (and 4P?) that have the P pup, the 6Pers have two soap bar jazz pickups, single coil or otherwise depending on the year.

I had a TRB5P once but it went and I wish it hadn't - :)

Im actually trading an ACG which i acquired a month or so back, just can't get to grips with the EQ filter system and a decent thru neck 6 is something ive always been after,

here's a pic of the label..

Well, well, well. We do learn all the time don't we.

ACG's are great basses but I acknowledge that not everyone likes the filter pre amp. It takes a whole new approach to creating a tone as you like it.

Maybe get lag to put a John East U Retro in it?

Yeah i was thinking that but i am now based in Australia and this Yammy 6 is just down the road, don't get me wrong the ACG is an amazing piece of wood and incredibly easy to play.
The next few days will swing it, i'll post up the results.

Cheers Steve
