Dodge Posted October 9, 2011 Author Share Posted October 9, 2011 It needs a string tree, a way to secure the battery in the control cavity and the fret and fingerboard ends rounding over for that worn-in feel. It sounds great though, reminiscent of my old 87 Warwick Streamer, which is a (nice) surprise considering the huge difference in construction (bolt on vs set neck etc, body and neck woods etc.) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I fitted one of these to my Warmoth to keep the battery secure: http://www.dayga.co.uk/Battery_Holders/9_Volt_Battery_Holder Careful where you click as they also sell a lot of PVC erm, clothing! It can be difficult to track those down as "9v battery clip" searches result in the clip connectors and "9v battery holder" searches result in the plastic battery boxes. I currently have one of those plastic clips, but that looks like a more elegant solution. Did it hold a battery fairly securely? Including VAT, duty etc the neck and body would have cost me ~£480. I bought it with lots of other Warmoth guitar parts so I can't be more precise. Chimike Posted October 13, 2011 Share Posted October 13, 2011 Hiya, When my Warmoth was being buit, we didn't have a battery box handy, and I wanted to take it that day, so two pieces of foam were stuck to each side of the battery compartment, hold the 9v in perfectly.
