Briggy Posted September 2, 2011 Share Posted September 2, 2011 These Sabres are getting harder to find, and there weren't a whole lot of them to start with! This is a '79 maple neck all original apart from paint removed from body by previous owner with a matt finish over it. It's been done very well and actually looks pretty good, fortunately the wood underneath looks great. All electronics, pickups, bridge, everything else is totally original, the bright switch hasnt even been rewired to active on/off like most. It plays absolutely superb with a quite low action, and sounds fantastic, the extra pickup gives much more tonal variation than the stingray. I am regretfully moving it on as I have a Status KingBass on order that I gotta pay for, and times is tight! It comes with a Hiscox Liteflite case as in photo. I am looking for £1400, no trades. I'm based right near South Mimms services for collection, or we can negotiate delivery. Thanks for looking!
