I use this pedal also, and is great loads of useful gain warm and fat or bright and gnarly it does the whole tube thing very well. Dave also makes stripped down versions where he takes out the di, headphone amp and boost switches and this does make it cheaper if you don't need all the bells and whistles.

that is definitely true of some settings on there, but believe me, it is capable on low-drive settings in fat mode (and some eq'ing) of rounding out the sound.

i think it's just the demos you've seen so far tend to illustrate the more aggressive tones available.

from personal experience i can certainly recommend the Way Huge Pork Loin (off the top of my head) - very warm, could get aggressive and fuzzy if you wanted, but it does alot but never gets too wild, its a soft clipping overdrive.

I really didnt like the EBS Multidrive - I think dan might have hit a point with the Catlinbread SFT.
