chilievans Posted June 17, 2011 Share Posted June 17, 2011 My bass teacher is due to give birth to a baby boy in the summer and will be out from teaching for around 13 weeks! 13 weeks is a long time out from learning so I thought I could get myself a good book and work my way through it until my lessons start back. I'm currently studying for my grade 5 so I don't really want a beginner's book I've been thinking about getting "Gary Willis Fingerboard harmony" but I'm not sure if it's the right book for me What do you guys think? 'Chord Studies for Electric Bass' by Rich Appleman 'The Evolving Bassist' by Rufus Reid 'Serious Electric Bass' by Joel DiBartolo 'The Improvisers Bass Method' by Chuck Sher 'Concepts for Bass Soloing' by Chuck Sher and Marc Johnson.
