Kids were watching it when I got home and featured the Warwick factory making guitars and basses from start to finish. Very interesting to watch. Combination of a lot of CNC and hand-crafting. I did see the full production of cymbals at the Zildjian factory which was really interesting too, as well as drumsticks being made (can't remember who though). "and then..." it's a great programme...i've not seen the warwick one (i thought all the footage was shot in canada ??), but they've had some great instrument ones i have seen - carbon fibre cellos, the drumstick one, drumkits as well... i'll keep and eye out for the warwick one. thanks for the heads-up. Laser eye surgery is a bit grim, also downloaded the amp one, and acoustic guitar one... Gettin' the cello one now. I'm a geek. :| no sign of the bass one on there... It's on one of the discovery channels or something like that? Don't have cable at the mo, but that and Walker Texas Ranger (and a couple of cheeky joints) was a classic mix at the end of a long sainsbury's night shift back at uni. EdwardHimself Posted February 18, 2008 Share Posted February 18, 2008 I've seen a lot of them and of the musical instruments i've seen the drums, cymbals (random trivia- "zildjian" actually means cymbal in turkish, the company is called avedis but they decided zildjian appealed more to english speakers) electric and acoustic guitars being made.
