Best DIY Bass kits

Hi guys i'm thinking in bying a DIY bass kit just for the fun of it and i wanted to know what are the best kit's out there to future modding.

Which kits have the best woods, and the best finishes.

I've read nothing but good reviews about that kit. Don't know if they still make them though...

Ouch! £534! But that does include shipping and VAT by the look of it, and is probably by far the best quality DIY kit available - you might actually end up with a playable instrument! They also do a 4 string active and 5 string passive and active versions (more dosh obvs.)
