Ben Jamin Posted April 15, 2011 Share Posted April 15, 2011 I've had the chance to play on a few of the Reverend guitars before and the quality/sound/playability is amazing. And for the pricetag they're practically a steal. Anyway, I got rather excited a couple of months ago when Reverend brought a new line of basses at the start of '11. The Mercalli 5 FM looks ace! I've since been trying to find a UK dealer but I can't find one anywhere! You can usually pick up a few of their guitars here and there but I guess the basses haven't been out long enough? Just wondered if anyone knows of a place to pick one up, or perhaps has tried one? tonyf Posted April 15, 2011 Share Posted April 15, 2011 Those look flipping marvellous! Love the Justice (although not too sure on the lipstick tube pickups) and the Mercalli 5-FM looks fabulous. The DubKing reminds me of Feeder's Taka Hirose's basses. Only without the gold sparkle! There's an 'international' dealers page on the site, link below. BigRedX Posted April 15, 2011 Share Posted April 15, 2011 From what I recall the last lot of Reverend Basses were never officially imported into the UK. I bought mine from someone who'd personally imported it from the US. It will be interesting to see whether the UK distributor is going to be getting any basses in particularly one of the 5-string models. Keep us informed. PTB Posted April 17, 2011 Share Posted April 17, 2011 I found my Reverend 5L while browsing the BassNW Used section about 6 or 7 years ago and I bought it on a whim and had it shipped over. It's got a fat sound and I use it a lot. I've never seen another one in the UK. I have relatives near Banbury so this gives me a great excuse to visit Oxford for a look at the new range soon.
