Soldering/Wiring

Does anybody have any suggestions on where I can get my wiring re-done in my Sue Ryder P? My local music shop is owned by a mate of mine and he is quite frankly awful :) ! How much is it likely to cost me?

I'm sure I will get some "do it yourself!" suggestions, but I have tried in the past and been awful, and I don't fancy the expense of a decent iron for a one off job.

Much appreciated!

Depends on the amount of re-wiring you were anticipating, but I guess (without really knowing the hourly rates) that a guitar tech will probably charge you labour rates that would be approaching the cost of the bass.

I see you're only just up the A11 from me. If you're down this way any time soon (A11/A14 junction at Newmarket) I can take a look at it one weekend.

HTH,
Ian

I'm happy to do a bit of "while you wait" soldering for anyone who can get to Tunbridge Wells, in return for a beer or two.

The while you wait bit is important. WaynePD will testify that if you leave it with me to be done it'll take me about six months :)
