I realise that this is a matter of personal opinion, but it's just not a good colour (awaits flames!!!).

I have seen this bass today and its lovely. The pics dont really do it justice and its a stunning colour in the flesh and the ageing is very tastefully done.

Also, Richard is a top guy to deal with so buy with confidence!

:) How dare you sir!!! You seem to be suggesting that I'm some kind of insatiable GAS addict, I take this as a very personal attack and expect an imediate retraction....

Unless it's a Sado' 4 String Jazz **hangs head in GAS shame**

"Proberbly sooner than you think Jim ( interested)"

Is it just me or does there seem to be a move away from high end fender like copies back to the real thing?

Having had both Fender CS and Sadowsky basses - how do you think they compare?

I'll chirp in here as I have owned both. I think in terms of build quality and playability they are very similar although I think the Sadowskys are slightly consistently higher quality but when you get a good CS one you get a good one!

They differ in terms of sounds as the Sadowksy doesnt do the passive fender as well as the CS and the CS doesnt do the aggressive cut through as well as the Sadowsky in my opinion.

Horses for courses, both cracking basses!

Yes - I've got the old style di box - that must be the way to go.

I think you made the right decision Rich. Whilst the colour isn't my favourite, it does look amazing, and no doubt sounds and plays phenomenally. On the plus side, our loss is your gain!

Tell me you haven't got that Red Sadowsky of Steves?

Actually probably best if you don't, you don't want to hear a crash in the middle of the night and find a GAS crazed Cougar tearing apart your home. :)

I've been casting anxious glances at that Olly white Jazz he's selling and hoping the GAS passes.
