thumperbob 2002
Once in a blue moon. New songs sorted on soundcheck. Hate hate hate rehearsals. Some band members love it. ( least experienced ones. ) Sinatra used to hate rehearsals too and if a take took more than one he would want to murder someone. Bit like me. Practice 2 hours a day. Love that. crez5150
Isn't that what gigs are for.... rehearsing?
Marvin
The band I'm with are just getting the set list together so aiming to practice once a week. I only joined 5 weeks ago and we've practiced 4 times so everything is fairly together. I should imagine if the set list is relatively stable then once we're gigging and happy practices may become less frequent.
Doddy
it depends whats coming up. we've rehearsed for 2 weeks straight before, other times its only been twice a week. we try to get in around 3 days/nights of practice together a week. the rest of the time we practice on our own (yes we do this full time).
Seriously???? I've never played with a band that has rehearsed that much. I've always had gigs to do instead.
Cat Burrito
When we need to. We put a lot of work in early on & now we just meet if we have new material or a few gigs coming up
KK Jale
Singer into mic: "Here's one we haven't done in a while." Translation: not since I joined. Me: lifts eyebrow to guitarist. Guitarist, out of side of mouth: "G." Long pause. "You'll be fine." Rehearsing solely on stage does fine-tune the antennae, I have to say
