They make my life a joy and while you can't carry passengers in a successful band, if the drummer's good then I don't care about the rest. OK, slight exaggeration but you know what I mean! From all the fuss that gets cause when bass players get called failed guitarists or whatever,it's only fair to back up drummers-especially the ones who are great musicians.
