The thing that surprised me was the cable simulator thing, it really works! Battery life, I seem to get around three gigs worth out of it (about nine hours if last Friday is anything to go by) but agree that the indication is good so you dont get caught out as long as you change them once the indicator drops to two bars. I could see the guitarist in my band benefitting from this system, given that he typically has three guitars, a mandolin and a banjo at each gig!
