Having viewed threads here and on Talkbass, watched many YouTube clips I am guessing either a Digitech Synth Wah or EHX Bassballs is required. I have never ventured into the world of the envelope filter so any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Note I cannot afford an Akai Deep Impact even if I wanted to look for one! Higgie Posted March 5, 2012 Share Posted March 5, 2012 (edited) I use a Fuzz (Swollen Pickle Clone) and a Filter (Subdecay Proteus) set with the depth all the way down, so the frequency knob acts like a wah pedal. I leave it open so it accentuates the hi-mid/treble end of the spectrum and blend that whole thing with my clean signal. Sounds the nuts!
