Happy Jack
One thing a broken leg and an operation do for you ... they certainly make you re-think your priorities. An unexpected side-effect of my rather unfortunate last two weeks is that I've decided I really need to re-structure my collection of basses, perhaps into something that's less of a "collection" and more a few basses that I play all the time. So I'm launching half-a-dozen 'For Sale' topics today. I'm quoting a price in each case, but if you think it appropriate then feel free to make me an offer. The worst that can happen is that I'll tell you that you can f*** right off, mate. As if ... Anyway. This is a fairly early example of Paul Rose's work, which I bought from him two years ago. My original review (and description) are here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=52472 Plenty more pics are at http://tinypic.com/a/r1xe/3 Simple to use, little to go wrong, built like a tank, and a wonderful ringing tone. My only problem with this bass has been the weight ... I simply can't cope with heavy basses. I'm going to miss the scale length, though. Scale: 35" (Lakland Jo Osborne neck) Weight: 11 lbs Width at Nut: 1 7/8" String spacing at Bridge: 17 mm This isn't everybody's cup of tea, so I'm only looking for £350. Best option would be collection from Chiswick. Second best would be collection from the West End. If someone wants it posted, then we'd also have to factor the cost of a hard case into the deal. Happy Jack
Interesting, but I don't think I can go there! I'm actually selling a Sorta EUB at the moment, and I use an [sfx] MicroFuzz through an Orange Bass Terror, which gives me all the distortion I need. Anything else? cmartyr90
Haha, yeah I saw you putting up the EUB just after I posted, I've got a Fender MIM 5 string and a Yamaha TRB5ii in my collection but I'm not sure how much I want to let the TRB go, could be tempted though.
