So what i can say is this... i have tried this a few times ( J only lives 5 doors away ). and compaired to a alot of G&Ls and i have a few this one is up there with the best of them. it plays and sounds great with non of that dead spot around the d note on the Gstring, harmonics ring out nice and all the strings are well ballanced out with no drop outs on the board. its in great condition for its age and being a 3 bolt abit more collectable with the curved rosewood board (not flat slabed bottom ) like the early 60s jazzs, All in all its an out and out good bass, and if you dont know J, Buy with confidence he is one of the good guys.
