1. Hipshot BT1 Brand new in chrome. Bought in error, needed a BT2 (got one on order now). This is to fit a Musicman, G&L and some Fenders. Not exactly sure which Fenders, but some info is available from here; http://www.basscentre.com/hipshot-d-tuners/hipshot-bt1.html Looking for £45 including postage. You should all know what these are and what they do. I've used one for years on a Stingray, so easy to use. Wouldn't be without one! Now need one for my new Jazz bass.
 2.
Whilst completly avoiding the 'Rabbit' issue :b
Ahh, the rabbit issue. Finally it all comes to light (excuse the pun). A private joke from a long lost friend. Definitely no rabbits involved with this bass. No rabbit poo or any other poo involved. I'll give this bass a little while longer, then it might have to go on the 'bay. If you want something a bit high tech and unique, give this bass a go.
 3. Cheers. Thanks for coming and having a look at it. Appreciate the comments.
I have been to look at this beauty and it's like new If i was a more skilled fretless bass player this would of been in my collection.Who ever gets this as to play or keep as a investment will get a bargin all the best on your sale and thanks for letting me play this.
4. Also forgot to mention. This bass comes with it's own 'branded' gig bag. The bag is very well made, and although not fully 'soft' padded, it is quite protective. I think neoprene is used in it's construction. There are a couple of front pockets on it and a leather handle. I haven't used the bass very much, but I use the gig bag almost on a daily basis for my other basses, and it has stood up very well to regular use. There are some wear marks on the bottom and some slight marks on it, but still a very good bag that I could probably continue to use for another 10 years. Thanks for looking.
 5.
Hiya I've been interested in these for a while but am puzzled by the use of maple for the finger board. I've always favoured ebony so am curious how you found the 'maple sound'? best wishes, joe
It would be difficult to say how I found the sound of the maple fingerboard, as the pickups give their own distinct sound anyway. The feel of the maple is very smooth, and no different to most other fretless basses. The sound of the bass is sort of a mix between a fretless and a double bass. It has great sustain and all the normal fretless mwoah type sounds, yet has it's own natural sound. The bass is available for people to try if you are local enough. Hope this helps.

 12. Hi. Would you be interested in a trade for a Lightwave fretless bass? Not what you mentioned, but also not what you would have thought about. It is in the basses for sale listings. Please take a look. Something different and unique. Cheers.
 13.
played this mofo today.. awesome bit of kit! bump for this so called "newbie"... deal with confidence people!
Cheers James. Glad you enjoyed playing it.
 14.
Hi How does it differ from the current model?
Also, the nut on this model is solid brass, whereas the new ones are plastic.
 15. As far as I know, the Saber SL is no longer available in Natural finish. Options are red, blue or black. The fingerboard is also now rosewood, maple is not an option. The neck is now attached with five bolts, not four as on my model. (There is no problem with the neck moving). This model has a flame maple veneer on headstock. They now come with colour matched headstock. I think the fretless fingerboard has lines on it now - I don't know if it comes in an unlined version. I'm not sure if there are any other differences, but please check out the link in advert. This will take you to a page where there is a video explanation, and also a review. The price of these new is £1050, although the link takes you to a page where it is listed as £950 at the top, but then gives some details about the VL model, so not too sure if they haven't muddled up the models somewhere, or if they are offering a discount on that particular bass/second hand? You can also get to the SL model details by clicking the link at the top for 'SL'. Please check out what reviewers think of these instruments. Cheers.
 16. I'm a newbie to this, so sorry if I used capitals. I didn't think it was a problem.. @LukewarmWater - yeah, this may be your old bass. I do remember going to pick it up from Bristol. If you regret selling it, now's your chance to have it back. lol.
 17. I have for sale a Lightwave Saber SL fretless 4 string bass. This is a few years old now, and is slightly different to the current model. It has an alder body, natural finish, maple neck and fingerboard. The headstock has a flame maple veneer on it. The unique thing with this bass is the pickup system. It uses lightbeams instead of conventional magnetic pickups!!! There are many benefits to this, too many for me to explain here, so check out this link for a look at the current model and a video explanation of the system. http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_sp..._SL4_fless.html I am looking for £550 as a cash sale for this. Not really interested in a trade, as I am after something specific and need the money to get it. I have had this bass for approx. 6 years and used it for recording an album. It has made it to a few rehearsals, but I've never gigged with it. I'm not getting any call to play fretless, so it has sat idle for the last 3 years, only being played on the odd occasion. The sound is somewhere between a fretless and a double bass, due to the pickup system, and there is a good variety of tone options from the eq system. The bass is very light to wear and has a very slim neck. (Possibly the slimmest I have ever come across). The pickup system is highly versatile and gives great scope for midi capability, as each string has it's own pickup. The electronics inside the body look daunting, but is designed for easy set up, and there are many fine adjustments that can be made. It has an on board rechargeable battery that you plug into the mains (see socket next to jack). This gives approx 16 hours of playing time. You can still play the bass while it is being charged. It is strung with Rotosound flatwound strings. The bass comes with the charging lead. The bass is in great condition, and I can only find one tiny mark on the rear bottom corner and some slight wear on the back of the bass. If anybody wants to come and try the bass, message me and I will arrange a day/time. Any further questions, please message me. Thanks for looking. 19. I am interested in this bass if it is still up for sale. Unfortunately, finances are tight. Would you be interested in a trade? I have a Lightwave Fretless that I could offer you. Very nice bass and very unique. Light beam pick ups!!! Imported from USA. All natural wood finish, Maple and Ash, black hardware. Let me know if this is of interest. Cheers, Dave.
 20. Hi. Can you let me know if this bass is still for sale? Also, a quick question - If the scratchplate is removed, are there any holes, wires or blemishes? I prefer the look of these without a scratchplate, but I have seen some Mexican Fenders that have oversize pickup cavities or earth wires under the scratchplate. Cheers.
 21. Hi. I am interested in this bass, but do not have a bass that I would like to trade at the moment. I have something that is bass related that might be of interest, especially if you are a Trace Elliott user. I acquired a rare leather biker jacket from Trace Elliott a few years ago, not many of these were made and the only other one I have seen is worn by Tony Levin in a pic of him riding his Harley with a bass on his back some years ago. The jacket is in great condition, as I have hardly ever worn it. It is embossed on the back with a Trace Elliott logo and has the Trace green colour lining inside. There is also an embossed logo on front chest. If you are interested, then I could meet you, as I teach bass in Nuneaton on mondays. Hope you still have the bass and are at least interested enough to meet and discuss. Cheers.
