1. Hi. I've just finished a tour of holiday sites. I would be interested in depping for future gigs if you need a bass player. Good player, good gear, good attitude, good times. Cheers, Dave. 07941 991881.
2. Hi Jake. I am a professional bass player experienced in all styles including jazz. I have experience of Real Book work and gig regularly around the Birmingham area. Over 25 years playing experience, good gear and attitude. Please message me if you wish to know more. Cheers, Dave.
3.
Hi there, if the bass is still for sale, I would be very interested. I can't come and see it, but everybody's comments back up what I know about these basses. Could you PM me for talking turkey about price? Thanks, Sean
PM replied to. Only realistic offers considered.

5. Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass for sale. Natural Finish. You should all know what these are. Very well made, great bass for the money. Looks great, sounds great. This model is a very good example. Very well bookmatched. I originally purchased this from a shop by mail. When it turned up, I was very disappointed, as the body was 3 different shades and very badly bookmatched. I got back onto the shop, who didn't have any more in stock at the time, but said they would exchange it when new stock arrived. In the meantime, I went and bought a Fender '75 reissue instead. When the shop had some more stock in, they looked at the basses, and sent me the best example they had. I agree, and maybe if they sent this one in the first place, I wouldn't have bought the Fender. This one is a 2 piece body, which is quite rare at this price bracket, with a join straight down the middle. Please see highlighted picture for close up of the join line. Anyway, so now this bass is surplus to requirements, but I need to get my money back, as I have spent more than I wanted to on the Fender. I am asking £230 for this, which is cheaper than any shop, and you have the knowledge that you have a great looking example. The bass has not been played at all, only taken out of the box to check that it was a good one and for a photo. As this bass is still in the box, I will courier it if needed at buyers expense, although I would prefer collection in person, as I would like to know that the bass is in the buyers hands in the same condition it was when it left me. Thanks for looking.
6. Okay, I certainly don't think this is overpriced, especially after asking advice on it and it's condition. This is a lovely bass (check out some of the comments above), but I need to recover some finances. I am willing to drop a little on the price. Make me a (serious) offer.
7.
I'm new to this forum but would be interested in buying your Hipshot BT1. Do you still have it?
Yes, still available. PM sent.
8. I have some mirrored scratchplates for sale that will fit this bass. I have one on my own Natural Stingray. Please look for Musicman Stingray Scratchplate on ebay. My username is Funky Monkey. They look great on these basses. Other colours available, and also for other basses. Cheers.
9. Weekend bump. Come on folks, nobody want to try something a bit different?
10. Weekend bump. Surely someone must want one of these? Very useful gadget. If you haven't tried one, I recommend it.
11.
Pm'd
And replied. The 4 string set have now gone (RS 55LD) The other set are still available.
12. I had for sale two sets of Rotosound strings. Pressure wound strings now gone - Piano design still for sale. These are not the regular roundwound strings (66's), and are more expensive than normal. If you are looking to try something slightly different, then give these a go. One set of Piano design for a 5 string RS 99LDG. These are roundwound strings with an exposed core as the string passes aver the bridge. Gauges are; 45, 65, 85, 105 & 130. With these strings, you make the ball end section yourself! The ball ends are provided and instructions on how to do this. This is because different basses have a different length from end of string (where ball end is) to the bridge. You measure your own length and make them up accordingly. (You may need to adjust your action afterwards, as the strings will sit lower over the bridge) These normally retail at £32.95 (see stringdirect.com) Looking for £20, inc. postage. One set of Pressure wound strings RS 55LD for a 4 string bass Gauges are: 45, 65, 85 & 105. These are roundwound strings that have then been pressure wound to make them a little smother to the touch than normal roundwound. Think part way between round and flat wound. I used to remember strings in the 80's being 'ground wound' meaning that the string was ground on it's surface to produce a flatter playing surface. These have been pressured to make then smoother. These normally retail at £25.95 (see stringsdirect.com) Looking for £15 plus postage. *NOW SOLD* Thanks for looking.
