  1. Alas, I'm not a 6string player, otherwise you would've gotten a message from me already.
  2. Bargain! I've owned both the 4 and 5 string version of this and they were dfinitely amongst the best and most easy to play basses I've ever owned (and I've owned close to a hundred high end basses over the years, so that's saying something.. )
  3. Thanks, she's a beaut. Alas she's not going to see any use with me as my 74' jazz will always be my first choice when I'm not playing with a band.
  4. 1 piece Maple Telecaster neck with Rosewood fretboard. Natural oil finish. Comes equiped with high quality vintage style tuning mechanisms and a Graph Tech TUSQ nut. The frets have very little wear on them. Width neck heel: 56.30 mm Depth neck heel: 28 mm Free set of d'addario strings (shown in the picture) inluded! Looking for 80GBP o.n.o.
  5. Pedal is both technically and aesthetically in excellent condition and in perfect working order. No original packaging, works with standard 9v power supplies (not included). Great little swiss army knife of a pedal, with built in D.I. out, aux in and headphone out (with cab sim), great sounding EQ and 2 toneprint slots for both compression and Drive. This is the last of my pre-amps to go and I love it for the simplicity, yet great tone and versatility that it offers, but now that I'm no longer playing in a band I can no longer justify keeping all this kit (only keeping my fretless jazz, a tuner and a combo), so this can now go to someone who will put it to some good use. These are now discontinued and becoming harder to find so I'm thinking 130GBP/150Euro is a good price, but feel free to make me an offer if you disagree. If I get a good offer I will ad a couple of high quality (and quite expensive) Providence patch cables to the sale. Can ship worldwide. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TC Electronic Spectradrive: Bass preamp and DI box with overdrive, compressor and TonePrint function. The TC Electronic Spectradrive Preamp is a powerful tool that gives all bassists the means to create the perfect bass sound. The heart of the compact pedal is undoubtedly the intelligent 4-band equalizer, which offers boosts and cuts in different frequency ranges and thus enables a particularly precise tuning of the sound image. The switchable TubeDrive is also available for distorted bass sounds, while the SpectraComp influences the dynamics. Thanks to the well-known TonePrint function, both effects can also be loaded with different presets, some of which were developed by well-known artists, so that there are no limits to the tonal variety here either. In addition, the TC Electronic Spectradrive offers a transformer-balanced line driver output with switchable level and pre/post switch, which enables optimum bass signal pickup on stage or in the recording studio. Jam-packed with useful features, SPECTRADRIVE includes built-in TonePrint-customizable SpectraComp compression and distortion, as well as a custom built studio-grade DI Output. And SPECTRADRIVE easily pulls double-duty as the perfect practice companion thanks to its high-quality headphone amplifier and Aux input. Ready, Set, TubeDrive... The TubeDrive TonePrint utility gives your bass the dynamic and warm sound and feel of a full blown tube amp. From just a single knob, TubeDrive serves up everything from a slightly overdriven tone with organic, rich harmonics all the way out to fuzzed out, edgy hard rock distortion and beyond. Plus, TubeDrive features its own dedicated footswitch – so you always kick it in at the ideal moment! SpectraComp Our acclaimed TonePrint setup not only lets you fine tune your overdrive, it provides access to the ultimate treasure trove of artist compression TonePrints in addition to the stellar selection but into the SPECTRADRIVE. Using the same advanced multiband algorithm from our legendary System 6000 studio compressors, SpectraComp’s deceptively simple single knob operation gives you unequaled control over dynamics, and cuts through the mix like a flaming katana through warm butter. Just turn up the SpectraComp knob to dial in the perfect amount of compression! Smart EQ We’ve imported the intelligent EQ section from our much-loved BH800 bass head and re-engineered it to be an even more robust tone-shaping tool. The EQ stack is meticulously tuned for bass, meaning that instead of controlling one fixed set of frequencies when you turn a knob, each of the 4 knobs alters only a specific frequency range – whether you boost or cut them, you get total control over your tone. Not Your Average Stompbox SPECTRADRIVE is more than just a bass preamp and distortion pedal, it’s also a professional DI box with a studio-grade balanced output – which connects nicely to your favorite mixing console or recording gear. The high grade components feature 3 toggle switches for Pre/Post EQ, Ground/Lift and Instrument/Line level, while the parallel outputs make it a breeze to send your dry bass tone to your amp or a separate tuner. The balanced DI feeds all the tone-saturated goodness of your SPECTRADRIVE directly to the house system. Buff Up That Bass! Long cable runs can really take its toll on your tone, so we gave SPECTRADRIVE the same circuit used in our best-selling BONAFIDE BUFFER. No matter what you are playing through, SPECTRADRIVE protects your tone with absolutely no loss of high-end frequencies or overall signal strength. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  6. This bass was played three times since it was purchased new from Maruszczyk in november 2022, it has been used only a couple of times as I quit the band I bought it for and I also have a lovely 70's jazz that is my favorite for playing at home, so this beauty has been sitting packed and boxed in my storage room for the past two months, waiting for a new owner that will give her the love she deserves. She has one small uneveness in the paint on the lower horn (see picture, red arrow). Luckily this blemish is not noticable from a distance and you will probably have to look for it up close in order to notice it's there. Except for this little blemish the bass is absolutely mint and in showroom condition. New price was 1550 Euro + 50 for shipping. MARUSZCZYK INSTRUMENTS ELWOOD 4p ' Stealth Black' Medium Scale 32" • Body: alder • Neck: flamed maple • Neck profile: modern C • Fingerboard: ebony with white binding • Frets/Inlays: 21 frets, MOP block inlays • Nut width: 40 mm • Construction: bolt on • Scale length: medium scale 32" • Pickguard: 1ply black • Pickups: Delano JC 4 AL • Electronics: passive - volume, volume, tone • Finish: black, body gloss/neck matte • Hardware: black, Standard bridge with 19 mm string spacing, Dome-style knobs, Clover tuner Weight: 3,82 kg incl. 7. The "low end lobster mod", nice! Those are definitely the best sounding pickups for that bass. Thought about going down the same route for a while, but ended up with a medium scale instead, I'm still a big fan of those pickups tho. GLWTS!
  8. Will consider trade offers with a lower value p-bass + cash my way. Not really looking for anything specific, but something along the lines of an early Squier classic vibe (2008-2014) would be nice. w.h.y.g.? 🤔😁
  9. Now open to offers, got way too many pre-amps laying around that are not being used at all atm, so I really need to shift some!
  10. I did a pre-amp/multifunctional D.I. box comparison last week and since I invested a heap of money in this I now need to shift some of these pedals again to fill up the hole in my bank account. Atomic Bass Box; pre-amp, D.I. with amp/cab sim, IR loader, modeller with onboard compressor, limiter, leveller, tube drive, OD, Fet distortion, variable EQ, aux in and headphone out. The Atomic turned out to be the clear winner of the comparison, easily outperforming the GK plex, Tech 21 pedals and the spectradrive with its top notch amp and cab sims (the SVT + boogie 810 cab sim is sonic bliss! ❤️ ) built in compressor (based on the dbx160), limiter and leveller and variable EQ, and switchable OD/tube pre/Fet channel. This one is brand new and boxed (these have only just become available again on the Atomic site) and in an ideal world I would definitely keep this one, but a stack of unexpected bills and the fact that I've just quit one of my bands earlier this week are forcing me to re-evaluate my priorities and put this up for grabs. I'm looking for 300GBP for this one. => Pricedrop to 260GBP TC Electronic Spectradrive => Sold! Shipping to UK mainland and Northern Ireland: 12GBP (I have found a way to send it without paying the full VAT, so just give me a shout if you'ld be interested in that. 😉)
  11. How's the balance on this? My shortie will probably be sold this weekend as I'm looking to switch to medium scale basses, so this definitely looks tempting.

  13. They really are a joy to play, aren't they? I'm still amazed by the fretwork, the overall feel of the neck, the ergonomics and overall quality and craftsmanship that went into this instrument everytime I pick it up. I only regret not going with my gut and ordering a 4-string version instead of opting for a 5'er, then it would have been perfect... I'll have a chat with our singer (who mentioned he might take a trip to London soon) and see if we can join him. I'll keep you informed. That's a very nice looking Joker you got there btw! 😍
  14. I bought one of these from Scott Whitley -many years ago- that came with an EMG dual band pre-amp installed (he used to gig that one before he started his own brand of basses) and is has served me well. Excellent basses for the money, I agree they are much better quality than Squier and the likes and the pickups work very well with an active pre-amp added to them. The EMG pre made mine an absolute slap- monster. ❤️
  15. Ooh, I'ld love this. 😍 If my custom shortscale 5string sells I'll definitely get back to you. 😉😁
  16. *** I might make a little city-trip to London sometime next month, so I could bring the bass and meet up somewhere around the city centre to hand over the bass in person. *** Checked with the lugage scales this morning and she weighs in at 3,2kg. / 7.05lbs. I've also added a good compressor as a partial trade option. Looking for the Origin Cali compact bass, Empress, Diamond bass comp or EBS multicomp. Also, forgot to mention in the OP that I will source a hardcase for it (Thomann) if I have to ship the bass, to ensure safe shipping. Feel free to send me a PM if you have any questions. 😉👍 ps: added a few more pictures made in daylight today (since we haven't seen al lot of that lately)
  17. This is a custom order Cazpar 5p (finished december 2021) from Mensinger guitars in Germany. Per my specific request this Cazpar is superlightweight for a 5-string weighing in at just 3,201kg. and due to the Hipshot Ultralite tuners and Brass bridge she is also perfectly balanced both sitting down and on a strap. The B-string sounds incredibly tight on this bass (probably due to the carbon reinforcement rods in the neck), you almost have to feel it to believe how tight and defined the low B is despite the shorter scale, Mensinger really knocked the ball out of the park with this design! Alas, I came to the realisation that I almost never use the B-string so I usually end up playing my (4string) Jazz basses instead of this one, which is a real shame as this beauty deserves to be played and loved. Therefore I would prefer to trade this with a lightweight, medium scale 4 string bass, preferably a jazz or ACG of some sort. Will consider straight trades or a trade with cash my way. The bass comes with fitting, high quality Mensinger gigbag (Will buy a Thomann hardcase for shipping once she sells), and all the tools and paperwork that came with it. As you can see in the pictures I changed the black dome knobs with black, aluminum Sadowsky-style knobs, apart from that everything is still original on the bass. Even though she's only been gigged once, she has seen some use in the first couple of months after I bought her, so there are a couple of small blemishes, and although you probably wouldnt even notice any of these in real life I thought I should mention them anyway. I went over the whole bass today looking at every detail from different angles and I tried to capture all the blemisches on picture as detailed as I could (see last pictures). And as you can see in the pictures there's a small dent on the tip of the headstock from the inevitable collision with one of the cymbals of our drummers drumkit, there's also two very small scratches in the finish on the sides of the body, one on the top side and one close to the jack input, and there's some light wear on the finish in the area where I rested my forearm whilst playing (almost impossible to photograph as it's only visible under certain lighting/angles, but I tried to capture it as best as I could). Most visible wear is the paint that wore off of some parts of the bridge which probably happened when I transported the bass in a gigbag when we were driving to the studio earlier this year.🙄 Other than the little flaws mentioned above she's absolutely perfect, I've only used flatwound strings on this bass, so the stainless steel frets have no wear at all. The neck and fretboard is pristine, feels like a dream to play and she's probably one of the most ergonomic basses I've ever laid my hands on. She just had a pro set-up with a fresh set of Marusczcyk roundwound strings (45-130) which make this little beast sound huge, and I will also include the Dunlop short scale flatwounds I had on there in the sale. I paid close to 2000Euros/1730GBP for this bass and she's definitely worth every penny I paid for her, so this is your chance to get an amazingly good custom shop instrument for a lot less money and without the waiting time. CONSTRUCTION: Bolt-on BODY: Alder back & Bubinga A++ grade top NECK: One piece Maple with two Carbon reinforcement rods for extra stability POSITION MARKERS: Black dots on the fingerboard & Green Luminlay dots on the side of the neck RADIUS: 14" FINGERBOARD: Maple STRINGS: 5 FRET: 22 stainless steel, medium sized frets SCALE: 30" FINISH: Gloss polyurethane finish ELECTRONICS: Passive: volume, volume, tone BRIDGE: Hipshot USA B style, Brass bridge with 18mm string spacing PICKUPS: Aguilar 5P-60 (neck) & Aguilar 5J-HC (bridge) TUNERS: Hipshot USA Ultralites Y 3/8 HARDWARE COLOR: Black NUT WIDTH: 45mm GIGBAG: Mensinger Deluxe Short Scale Bass bag Pickup available in Ghent, Belgium, will ship the bass safely packed and insured within EU/UK. *** Will consider a partial trade with a medium scale 4-string bass, has to be lightweight and preferably a Jazz bass or ACG of some sort. I'm also interested in a good compressor (Origin, Diamond, Empress or EBS).***
  18. Mainly lookkng for trades with one or two Barefaced 210's. Cash adjustment either way.
  19. Lucy dreamer is sold, OBNE signal blender is on hold pending payment. Broughton hpf/lpf is still available.
  20. *** I will ad a pair of gold plated patch cables for free with every fx-pedal you buy! *** Broughton Audio Low Pass + High Pass Filter with clean boost (2022): This literally just arrived from Broughton Audio in Canada last week. Paid 238€/199GBP for it incl. Shipping & VAT, but will have no need for it anymore due to the drastic down sizing of my set-up. Check Talkbass for more info. These are the best HPF/LPF pedals around and it has a 20db clean boost built in. 😉 Website blurb: A combination of a low pass and high pass filter, as well as a clean gain. The low pass filter is a 12 dB per octave high frequency filter. The LPF knob controls the cutoff frequency and ranges continuously from 20 kHz to 330 Hz. The high pass filter is a 12 dB per octave low frequency filter. The HPF knob controls the cutoff frequency and ranges continuously from 25 Hz to 190 Hz. The gain control ranges from unity gain to +20dB. The stock input impedance is 1MΩ. The output impedance is 100Ω. This device will work with active or passive instruments, as well as with other devices such as pedals, preamps, or effects loops. The pedal can be powered by a 9V battery or a DC power supply (not included). The DC supply should be a standard Boss style connector, center negative polarity. It can accept 9 to 24 volts. Although 9 volts is sufficient for most applications, higher voltages will provide more headroom when using the pedal with hotter signals. The current draw is approximately 10 mA. The Low + High Pass Filter has a true bypass switch. Pedal is new and comes with it´s original packaging. 195€/163GBP I'm based in Belgium, but can ship worldwide. JAM Pedals Lucy Dreamer Bass -> Sold! Old Blood Noise Endeavors Signal Blender =>Sold!
  21. Hi, I'm selling a load of gear again due to health issues which are forcing me to go for even more lightweight alternatives compared to the gear I currently have. Nerve damage s@#^s... 😑 This is an as new custom order bass (finished January 2022) from Mensinger guitars in Germany. Only used at home and in the studio. Alas I have to get rid of all my bass gear due to health issues, hence the sale. The bass comes with fitting, high quality Mensinger gigbag, original box/packaging and all the tools and paperwork that came with it. As you can see in the second picture I changed the black dome knobs with black, aluminum Sadowsky-style knobs and I´ve put a set of Dunlop flatwound strings on the bass (the roundwound strings the bass came with from the custom shop will be included in the sale), apart from that everything is still original on the bass. I paid just over 1900Euros/1590GBP for this bass (the A++ grade Bubinga top, Hipshot USA hardware and Aguilar pickups are expensive options and the 5string neck, Carbon reinforcement rods and luminlay side dots are paid options as well),so this is your chance to get a true custom shop instrument for a lot less money and without the waiting time. CONSTRUCTION: Bolt-on BODY: Alder back & Bubinga A++ grade top NECK: One piece Maple with two Carbon reinforcement rods for extra stability POSITION MARKERS: Black dots on the fingerboard & Green Luminlay dots on the side of the neck RADIUS: 14" FINGERBOARD: Maple STRINGS: 5 FRET: 22 stainless steel, medium sized frets SCALE: 30" FINISH: Gloss polyurethane finish ELECTRONICS: Passive: volume, volume, tone BRIDGE: Hipshot USA B style, Brass bridge PICKUPS: Aguilar 5P-60 (neck) & Aguilar 5J-HC (bridge) TUNERS: Hipshot USA Ultralites Y 3/8 HARDWARE COLOR: Black GIGBAG: Mensinger Deluxe Short Scale Bass bag Pickup available in Ghent, Belgium, will ship the bass safely packed (I still have the box it came in) and insured within EU/UK.
