1. I like the look, scale length and sound, but at $2500 I don't thinking I'll be buying one!
2. Supergrass - Pumping On Your Stereo Fat Boy Slim - Praise You
3. Ha, yes, I think that was us, we were there when you loaded in then came back just after you began, I think i bored my other half to death telling her about your cabs!! Anyway, the rig sounded great so this is a great purchase for someone!
4. That rig looks familiar, done a gig in the last couple of months at the Bear in Chippenham (I see your in the general area)? ....if so, it sounded really nice!
5. Short-scale for me. Fender Mustangs and modded Squier Broncos are my current choices. Just find it much more comfortable, especially when using chords. I also tend to like the sounds I can get with SS basses though I'm pretty certain that other factors are affecting the tones as much the scale length. Having said that, I do like my longer scale P-Bass for some things and like having one around when recording. I don't even really think about the scale length when playing and swap between the two without really thinking about it.
6. I've got one with one 2 x 10 and one 2 x 12 cab. Bought second hand and was a bit wary about mixing drivers but it sounds great and is a good all round rig.
7. I've just picked up a used one. A head with a 2 x 12 and a 2 x 10 (would have probably gone for a couple of 2 x 12's if i was buying new). Overall I'm very happy. Quite a plain sounding amp (for want of a better word), its not really overpowering or underwhelming in any frequencies. The Sepctracomp is really good and the tube drive is handy for adding a bit of warmth/grit. With one cab it does practice and small clubs and with both cabs it's fitted the bill for bigger gigs without too much PA support. I actually put a Behringer BDI21 through it and it did a passable Ampeg impression. I do not like the looks too much, would prefer something a bit more vintage looking, but its a good amp for the money.
8. Got one of these foam cases the other day for my P, seems fairly well made and sturdy and offers nearly as much protection as your standard hard cases and is really light. Only £30. 14. It would be Willing to post at cost. sorry for delay in pictures, didn't get a chance to pick it up at the weekend so a friend is taking some for me.
15.
Hmmm very tempting, it's a lovely looking amp and the online reviews I've seen have been complimentary about it. Have an 'I'm looking round to see what I can flog for funds' type bump on me.
cheers, actual pics up later today hopefully.
16. found it for sale elsewhere online, only place I could find, it's at £479 so grab yourself a bargain! 17. Hi I'm selling this amp as I'm longer playing bass in my band so can't afford to have two bass amps around. You dont see many Kustom amps around, not seen another one! It's a 200w 2x10 combo with a valve in the preamp. It's plenty loud enough for most gigs though obviously has the same limitations as any mid price 2x10 combo. Its got a nice growly vintage type of sound and has always got compliments from other players who use it (usually after asking "what is it?") It is good condition, It's been gigged so has the odd scuff and mark. here's a picture (will get actual photo when i get it back from the rehearsal pace at the weekend): Here's the webpage on Kustoms website: http://www.kustom.co...uctID=205&Tab=0 Heres the specs: RMS Wattage: 200 Watts @ 4-Ohms Speaker: Two 10" Eminence Horn Type: Compression w/ On/Off Switch Tube Preamp: 12AX7 Tone Controls: Bass, Mid and Treble Effects Loop: Send and Return Jacks Direct Out: Speaker-Emulated XLR Dimensions: 23W x 14D x 24.5H Weight: 68 lbs. Power Amp Circuit: Organic Clipping Room EQ: Low & High Contour Tube Gain Control: Yes I would like £170 plus postage or you can collect from Chippenham, Wiltshire.
18. bump can do £115 + delivery for a quick sale.
