  1. I did up an older Bronco and I imagine this is better than those were.

These have a proper bridge, and better looking tuners, so it will definitely do a job. Will you want to change those bits and maybe the pickup? Probably, but they can be done on a modest budget and make a big difference. If you can find one 2nd hand you're on to a winner!

Imagine if I knew about these first time around when they were only £99!! 😂😭

Yeah I paid £113 if I remember correctly.

  3. My white one was my very first bass, currently away for a bit of TLC after not coping too well with temperature changes in my flat.

Looking forward to having it back soon!

  4. I get a feeling if I was take a punt and hate it - I could move it fairly easily as they'll be

    A) Joe Dart fans who missed out and really want one.

    B) People who are just generally nosey but not enough of a fan boi to buy it first time round.

Yes, I'm trying to talk myself into buying one 😂

  5. Surely Joe Dart has to be Musicman's best selling artist?

He's sold out 3 rubs of full fat USA models at tip end price tags now he's made another £250,000 (roughly based on average of £400 for each bass) in less than 12 hours.

That's a mad amount of money and units to move for very simple basses.

  6. I can understand her sentiment, but when you are that good at things, even failures look far beyond what many of can hope to achieve.

Nice find and maybe one day she will take on work.

  7. I agree about focusing on the sound of the bass/gear and not the sound of the player. I sometimes come across the channel Bass Bonedo when looking for reviews.

His USP is no talking and (relatively) simple playing, but shockingly he has over 250 videos and only 12.5k subs. While the flashy boys have far more subs.

Shows you what works on the internet just now.

  8. I think this has been mentioned before, but I'm sure they will Super light anything (within reason). So I don't see why they couldn't do a super light VS-5 for you as a custom option. Timescale could be the only issue now.

  9. It's tough with so much info available, but try and not be influenced by others recommendations and opinions. Spend some time with the bass and if something is still really bugging you after a couple of months, then maybe there is a need to change something.

A lot of people opinions come from bias of previous basses with other pickups that they maybe like more than the MK1s, but you might not have that experience. Same goes for strings.

  10. Both and great basses, but Cort will feel more premium vs the SUB but I've always found Cort just lack...something.

Since you've already got an Ibanez the Cort will probably sound quite similar (good clean, modern sound) whilst the SUB will give you a different tonal option and a more "classic" look.

  11. I have several (albeit less valuable than those mentioned above) that I don't play.

As others said, selling stuff for the sake of selling regularly leads to regret when they aren't there. If and when money or space (or you play another bass that blows you away) become and issue, the look to see who doesn't make the cut.

Another idea could be to lend one of them to a friend should it be possible. See if you miss it then.
