  1. P basses are funny things - seem so simple and there is SO much chocie. I think the quip about the Squier CV range is fair, you can spend £300 on a P bass and get a good one, but you probably have to spend about this much to really see the difference (read Moollon/Olinto/Mike Lull)

Nice bass and I'm sure it'll do the job 😅

  2. No idea on the ins and outs of using YT videos as a promotional video - but would be worth contacting HB and play it nice saying you appreciate them using your videos but could there be something in it for you too? Even if it ends up being some strings or other accessories it's still free stuff isn't it?

  3. Sandberg seem to be such an accomodating company. Even though they do mass produce instruments, it's seems very easy to get a custom order through in fairly reasonable timeframes.

If you want a Fender-y type bass but need some tweaks it would be really difficult to not pick Sandberg.

  4. So, I'll admit I probably haven't been taking very good care of this bass recently. Been through a fair amount of temperatur changes but never directly next to a heater.

But I picked it up today to clean it and noticed basically full length cracking along the back and a good bit on the front too.

Anything I can do to prevent further issues or maintain it as is? I know it's all mojo at this point but if I could avoid a large section of paint just falling off that would be great

  5. Had a quick noodle on a Central 5 in GuitarGuitar earlier, really impressed (as always) with Sandberg. Just extremely comfortable, well made basses.

Good range of tones available from the single pickup too, not sure I would take it over a VM5 but the simplicity is always tempting. They also had a very tasty looking heavy relic red Lionel that the guy says was his favourite bass in the shop currently but didn't have time to try it today.
