  5. I’m based in Ireland.
  6. For sale is my pristine condition, Sterling by Musicman Ray 34 CA (Classic Active). Old school flavour, 2 band classic active preamp and pickup. Lightweight Slab Ash Body. Narrow 34mm nut for greater playing comfort, maple fingerboard, hard glossy amber tinted neck finish rounds out the classic old school look. More info here www.sterlingbymusicman.com/ray34ca Comes with original case and case candy. £475 plus shipping, collection is always an option, give me a heads up and I’ll have on the tea and coffee!
  7. What's interesting is that the nut on mine is gold also, whereas the nut on my Cutlass I fretted is black.
  8. Hi Chris, I'm afraid I cannot confirm if it's a factory fretless or a defret? If it is a defret it's a superb job! Feel free to PM me with any other questions or if you need further photos. Cheers Drew
  9. Would also consider a trade for the right pre EB stingray or sabre bass with cash adjustment.
  10. After much deliberation (had this for sale a while back but withdrew) I've decided it's time for me to let go of my uber rare '84 Musicman Cutlass I fretless bass, I can't justify having two pre Ernie ball fretlesses! Modulus graphite neck, black, 2 band EQ/Preamp, three way switch installed for phase reverse/ tap coil (similar to my Cutlass II), pickup has been upgraded to a Bartonili. String through body and three bolt neck plate. Lovely to play, full of that mwah that you would expect from any Pre Ernie ball fretless bass, notes resonate on and on and on .... Bass will be sold with flight case. Price includes shipping to anywhere in Europe, but collection is always preferred! Please feel free to PM with any other questions. Thanks for looking.
  11. Cheers Matski, Was hoping that a fellow cutlass player would shed some light on this. Think I'll withdraw the ad as I don't think I'll find another fretless cutlass easily!
  12. Hi Beedster, I'm not sure, the one advertised on guitarchimp is an '83, mine is an '84. If it is a defret, it's a damn fine job! I'm guessing it is a defret as I don't believe a fretless was an option for the short production run.
  13. Hi Mark, yeah you've gotta love the cutlass bass, have a cutlass I fretted and it's by far the best pre EB bass I've played. Im getting the feeling if I sell this I'll regret it, as I doubt I'd find another fretless one again and in such good nic!
  14. Hi Mark, i don't believe that fretless was offered as option when the Cutlass basses were in brief production back in '83/'84 if it has been 'defretted' it's flawless!
  15. Cheers Beedster, it is indeed rather special!
