1. Up to £490 , reserve not met...
2.
This looks wrong to me: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-Jazz-Fretless-Guitar-/171313712649?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item27e317ce09 The headstock seems to be entirely the wrong shape, dunno if it's just the angle or from a certain era but it looks odd, far too skinny with the logo obscured. Also the truss adjustment is at the headstock end, seem to remember the odd MIM being like this but may be wrong.
Yes i think the proportions of the headstock look totally wrong in both photos ..
3. Some nice birds eye on the neck .. Discription is a bit sparse ... I just seems to discribe how much in love he is - I would imagine thats a long way off the reserve ....
4. 78 wouldn't have EB on the headstock either... I think its the classic too.. It has the string mutes .. Agree Its a good price ... Lovely bass.
5.
I paid that much for my SB320, but that was because I was really, really keen to buy another (having foolishly sold a beauty a few years back). £250 for an SB310 is no rip-off, but I certainly wouldn't have paid that much for one.
I know HJ even at 250 its a quality bit of kit but they are a dealer and obviously have to cover all the costs that go with running a business.. I have got to know the guys up there pretty well over the last year or so , a decent bunch imho. Good jap stuff never stays on their walls for long ..
6. Here is a more detailed specification . Its quiet impressive - http://shadowd20.pbworks.com/w/page/7520617/DnDEquipment-Warmace
7.
I paid £160 for mine which I think is a fair price - anything less than this is an absolute bargain...still £75 with less than 2 hours to go...I'd bite if I didn't already have one and too many others.
A couple of months ago I sold mine to wunjos bass for £165 .. Thats was outright ,not as a px... They put it up at £250 and moved it on straight away i was told ....
8. , THESE ARE AN ABSOLUTE FORTUNE NEW SO GRABA BARGAIN!! On what planet ?
9. Awwwwww he has just fed the fret board with lemon oil ..... Thats substitutes a pro set up / restoration i suppose -))))
10. Thats the sort of description worthy of my Stingray .... Apart from the colour -)))) So sought after the starting bid is £33 ... Thats what you would pay in a shop up town for a set of decent strings !!
11.
This is an SB301, it seems. But it is not stamped "Made in Japan". I believe there were moves afoot at Nanyo to move production to Korea just before they went bust. This may be a Korean prototype. I have an SB301 like this, also from a seller in Bristol. It's nice for what it is, but not quite MIJ-standard. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bass-Collection-SGC-NANYO-SB301-/151286698818?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item233963d342
Hmmm, I thought the 301 was the non active earlier version of the 310 .. Or is it active? I played a beaten up one last year in a shop that was up for £245 , and it sold at that ! Check my old posts , i am sure i posted up the nanyo 1996 catalog for the 3 series
12. I saw that . I thought it was my old one that i sold to wunjo bass in denmark st ,for a lot more than £75.. Thats a real snip if you got it for that ...
13.
For some reason I keep getting drawn to this listing, can't put my finger on why though: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MUSIC-T-SHIRT-ELECTRIC-BASS-SHIRT-BAND-SHIRT-BASS-GUITAR-T-SHIRT-BASS-PLAYER-HOT-/161284852203?&_trksid=p2056016.m2516.l5255
If only it were true .... Thats why i prefer to play drums in a band -
14. Mods please delete..
15. Cute as she is , i would rather see detailed photos of the bass http://m.gumtree.com/p/guitars/sexy-black-jaguar-bass-from-fender-squire/1058307385
16.
If you look at his other items you can see the specialised tools he used to perform the delicate surgery...
You are not far wrong ... As a french polisher , back in the 80/90s i used to specialise in high quality " replica " period pieces from the 17th century... I used all manner of " special tools" to age the Pieces ranging from a 3' chain , a brick , red hot nuts and bolts to my favourite , a folded up band saw blade .... Then there were the chemicals ....
17. I think you are right there squire !
18. Its worth a tenner imho. Can get a complete encore bass from cash converters for £65 .. Then duff it up yourself . Love the dutch punk bass though .. Sort of thing seasick steve would concoct ..-
19. Junk shop ? £120 price tag on that tea set.. You sure its not Harrods ? Yea cool colour ... Same as my ray . Blue pearl , black , maple -
20.
Dodgy comedy translation aside, that's a really striking-looking and interestingly put together bass, imo. Most of these old Eastern Bloc things tend to look like agricultural folk-art, but I really like that. Jon.
I admit , out of all the eastern block basses posted on here recently this is the best looking .. With the most coherent description !
21. Made of a high performance wood -stick variety.
